This week was great! We taught some investigators and were able to build a relationship with a less-active. We were so happy. This week we also were able to try tracting for the first time. We had heard we had an Estate in our area that you could tract. Turns out you can! It is the Sai Wan Estate. We have been tracting twice and have found great success!!! It is so fun! It is so different than street finding and I love it. We had read the green book in our apartment called ‘Member work and finding the elect’ by Elder Marshall. It inspired us to do better in our finding and working with members. We are super excited to continue with what we have learned.
While we were tracting we met two lovely potential investigators; an elderly couple and a mother and son. We were so happy! We found them on Tuesday night and helped build the relationship. Then last night we were near their home and just stopped by to build trust too. We were able to enter their home and teach the Restoration! It was so exhilarating! I loved it! I have never have that happen because most of our lessons are on the street! I loved it:) We rescheduled them for next week and the mother seems really interested! “Paakmuhn” (tracting) is so fun! I love it!
Leung Popo is the best Recent Convert Ever! We were only able to teach her once this week because she was sick but is doing great! I was at MLC when they taught her about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Endure to the End. Apparently she asked for a tour of heaven. Haha! She is funny. Yesterday at church she was there to greet everyone early and was laughing super hard. She is so cute with little kids. She is so happy:) Her countenance is different too… hey I just barely received a text from our roommates that say that they are now grocery shopping with her! She is the best!
At Misson Leadership Training I learned a lot. I loved learning and discussing. I was able to feel the spirit strongly and have since applied more of what I learned into myself and in this area. It was great and admire all of the leaders in the Hong Kong mission. Some of them are some of my great friends and I am so happy to serve with all of them to bring more people to Christ. Here in the Hong Kong Zone our Zone Training went well. We all learned a lot. On Hong Kong island it is a lot harder to find new investigators than in Kowloon. People are very busy and not as receptive but we hope to be able to help our zone and area by enthusiasm and focusing on the Book of Mormon. No matter your success or not missionary work is the happiest thing you can do. Our joy is to the fullest when we bring others unto Christ by inviting them to do so.
Sister Curtis is great! Happy as can be. She just kind of goes with the flow in a great way. She is easy to work with yet still voices her opinion. I love working with her. She is a great missionary and I can see how she is now blessing and will bless many lives here in Hong Kong. I love Sister Curtis.
West Point is great! Working hard to see the fruit of our labors. We will continue to pray and work for new investigators, Today we are going to hike to Big Buddha on Lantau Island with Sister Mendoza and her trainee, Sister Ng. So happy:)
Have a fantastic week! Love you!
