#72 Tracting Happiness

Week 72.3This week was great! We taught some investigators and were able to build a relationship with a less-active. We were so happy. This week we also were able to try tracting for the first time. We had heard we had an Estate in our area that you could tract. Turns out you can! It is the Sai Wan Estate. We have been tracting twice and have found great success!!! It is so fun! It is so different than street finding and I love it. We had read the green book in our apartment called ‘Member work and finding the elect’ by Elder Marshall. It inspired us to do better in our finding and working with members. We are super excited to continue with what we have learned.

While we were tracting we met two lovely potential investigators; an elderly couple and a mother and son. We were so happy! We found them on Tuesday night and helped build the relationship. Then last night we were near their home and just stopped by to build trust too. We were able to enter their home and teach the Restoration! It was so exhilarating! I loved it! I have never have that happen because most of our lessons are on the street! I loved it:) We rescheduled them for next week and the mother seems really interested! “Paakmuhn” (tracting) is so fun! I love it!

Leung Popo is the best Recent Convert Ever! We were only able to teach her once this week because she was sick but is doing great! I was at MLC when they taught her about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Endure to the End. Apparently she asked for a tour of heaven. Haha! She is funny. Yesterday at church she was there to greet everyone early and was laughing super hard. She is so cute with little kids. She is so happy:) Her countenance is different too… hey I just barely received a text from our roommates that say that they are now grocery shopping with her! She is the best!

At Misson Leadership Training I learned a lot. I loved learning and discussing. I was able to feel the spirit strongly and have since applied more of what I learned into myself and in this area. It was great and admire all of the leaders in the Hong Kong mission. Some of them are some of my great friends and I am so happy to serve with all of them to bring more people to Christ. Here in the Hong Kong Zone our Zone Training went well. We all learned a lot. On Hong Kong island it is a lot harder to find new investigators than in Kowloon. People are very busy and not as receptive but we hope to be able to help our zone and area by enthusiasm and focusing on the Book of Mormon. No matter your success or not missionary work is the happiest thing you can do. Our joy is to the fullest when we bring others unto Christ by inviting them to do so.

I love her - my little sister!

I love her – my little sister!

Sister Curtis is great! Happy as can be. She just kind of goes with the flow in a great way. She is easy to work with yet still voices her opinion. I love working with her. She is a great missionary and I can see how she is now blessing and will bless many lives here in Hong Kong. I love Sister Curtis.

West Point is great! Working hard to see the fruit of our labors. We will continue to pray and work for new investigators, Today we are going to hike to Big Buddha on Lantau Island with Sister Mendoza and her trainee, Sister Ng. So happy:)

Have a fantastic week!  Love you!

#71 Leung Popo BAPTIZED at 95 years old!

Week 71.1Wow this week has been the most Stressful, Exciting, Rewarding, Happy, Scary and Best WEEK as a MISSIONARY! Leung Popo got baptized! She is 95 and still going strong! I absolutely love her and I am so happy that all went well. It was quite stressful when she was baptized. I mean not many 95 year old people get baptized. She was a little scared at first but it all worked out. A 16 year old member baptized her and we were worried because it was his first one too. I am just happy that she is a ‘go with the flow’ kind of person. She is always happy and funny.

We exerted lots of prayers on her behalf and worked really hard to help her get baptized. It all started with that we couldn’t get ahold of her for 2 days. It scared us so bad. We finally found her after much prayer and fasting. The only way we found her was by listening to the Spirit. I am so grateful that we were able to find her. She had not remembered that it was Saturday. She was so happy though and was worried she would miss her own baptism. She was super happy. I think the experience with her really showed her desire to be baptized and follow Christ. She is so great! It was a rollercoaster of a baptism but was worth it to help another soul come unto Christ. It will bless her now and all her generations!

Week 71.3We have few investigators but have good quality people to teach. We extended another Baptismal date for March 20 to our other investigator Floren. She is so happy and just wants to change. She previously investigated for 6 years and stopped. Then she all of a sudden showed up at church. We have been teaching her and she is progressing really fast and making the necessary changes in her life to continue on the way back to Christ.

We will continue to work hard and really try to help all the people we can come unto Christ. We may need to sift out more people but the Lord knows who is prepared. He is always helping us missionaries whether we realize it or not. I love the Gospel.

The Church is True!

Week 71.2

Her neck was cold.

#70 The Lord Provides

Week 70.1This week has been great. We really saw many miracles come in West Point and we found many more new investigators. We are so happy. So this past month we have been covenanting with the Lord. You may have heard about it from the Kwun Tong Sisters. I must admit that it is really hard but the Lord does provide. This past week we were able to find many new investigators and were able to find some who will progress to be baptized. We are so happy!

Leung Popo was originally supposed to be baptized on Feb 22 but our Ward Correlator wasn’t there and the ward just didn’t know how to help us and what not so we changed to this Saturday Feb 27 at 1:30 pm in West Point Chapel. She has progressed a lot and now she even calls us to see us and have us share lessons. We are so happy! She is so great! Her family will be hard to talk to because they are so closed off and won’t even give us the chance to talk to them. Leung Popo said not to worry. Just teach her and all will be fine. She is so cute. We taught her about family history and she is really excited. She wants an eternal family which is awesome! She is really excited to prepare names to go to the temple and wants to help her ancestors and parents. She could help so many people in the Spirit World. It is amazing. I can’t wait.

We met a new investigator that the Elders gave us from off the street named Iris. She is really sweet and really wants to know. The thing is is that we don’t know if she is a little bit crazy or she is affected by her brain tumor. She came to church yesterday and loved it. She participated and came to all three hours. She was really wanting to learn. She is quite and doesn’t quite act normal. Hopefully the gospel can help her a lot more. She is so happy to see us and learn though. Her story of meeting Christ at Christmas is so powerful and great. I can see her potential. We will continue to teach her and help her come unto Christ.

We are working hard. We found some other new investigators. The Pok Fu Lam Sisters gave us a great investigator last night named Rebecca. She is so sweet and is just so confused at the Christian churches and wants to know which one is God’s church. She has prayed about the Restoration and hasn’t received an answer yet. We really hope to help her more. She is divorced and has a 12 year old son. I think our ward will be really excited as they are always welcome to more youth.

I am excited for today with President Stevenson. I was lucky enough to her him speak to us last Februray which was great. I learned a lot. Now he is an apostle and it will be great to learn more from him and the spirit. I am so grateful for this wonderful opportunity to serve in Hong Kong! Being a missionary is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

#69b Preparing at 95

Week 69.6These past couple of days have been great! Nothing too much happened. We had some miracles though. I have had lots of prayers answered this week in be half of Leung Popo. She has no memory so it makes it hard to schedule her but the most amazing thing is that she does remember the things we teach her to a certain degree. I was worried that she would not answer the phone on Sunday morning so I prayed and prayed so much for her! My prayers were answered and she came to church. She is doing great. Her baptismal interview is Tuesday at 3:30 which I am worried about. I hope she doesn’t forget. We will pray and work hard for her. Then if she passes she will be baptized at the ripe age of 95 on 20 February 2016. I am so EXCITED!!!!! I really am so happy and grateful that I get to help her prepare for baptism. The best thing is that she is more or less preparing for the rest of her life on earth and into the eternities where her husband and parents are. She is such a strong person! I love her!

Here are some fun facts about Leung Popo….

– She has 5 generations right now.

– She has fake teeth because she only has 2 real teeth. She is hilarious when she doesn’t bring her fake ones.

– She loves to laugh. She cries laughing too.

– She is a poet and loves old Chinese sayings which I have not idea what they mean but I just laugh anyways.

– She shows everyone her scar on her knee that is about 5 inches. She loves it. I have seen it probably 20 times.

– She wears like 8 shirts at one time.

To sum it up she is the funniest woman ever! I love her. Even at 95 she is preparing for baptism. Prayers and love sent her way. Keep her in your prayers. She is going to need it:)

We also had another miracle. We gained our investigator Sumi back. We dropped her after she didn’t show up to a few lessons and wasn’t progressing. Then she showed up to English Class and church. We were so happy! She had some family problems so now we are taking her back and trying to help her family too a little bit. We are going shopping with her today. We are super excited to have some time with her. It will be a good p-day.

That has been the just of this week. Pray for Leung Popo. She is great! I love you all! Have a great week:)

#69a Chinese New Year, Round 2!

Week 69.2I love Chinese New Year! It is so full of fun, laughter, family and talking to so many people. We are so lucky because it is like another Christmas to us. I love it! It is full of weird foods that you don’t think will digest in your body, talking to everyone and wishing them a healthy body and also smelling all the burning incense. But it is a grand old time.

This week I am going to use pictures to tell some stories:)

Peng Chau

Peng Chau

Peng Chau~  So we are one of the only areas in the mission that has islands in our area. That means we can take a boat to our area. It is so cool. We went to one of the islands called Peng Chau. It means peaceful island and it was so peaceful! We basically walked around the entire island and went “paakmuhn-ing”. I knocked doors for the first time in my entire mission experience. It was so exhilarating. It was such a cute island. It was so fun!

We went to visit a Less-Active. It was a very interesting experience. She hasn’t been to church in a very long time and she totally has doctrines wrong and everything. She still really likes the church and knows it is true. She just has no drive to wake up at 6am to take a boat and come to church. She talked a lot and was really sweet. I think she hasn’t talked to some people for a while. She does live on a tiny island that also only has one grocery store.

I LOVE CHINESE NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!~  It is my favorite time of the year. It is the only time when we are doing studies and then all of a sudden there are giant drums being played and parties on the street. It is great! This is a Lion head of traditional lion dance. It is so cool and fun! To answer some of your questions…

1) We do receive Red packets but we use the money for fast offerings. It is fun to receive them though:)

2) We had a ward party yesterday and our popo came. It was so fun! They did the lion dance and we ate some food. Lots of traditional food that I don’t know how to say it in English.

3) It is kind of hard for missionaries to celebrate Chinese New Year. Since it really focuses on family it is the prime finding time for us when families are out and about. They all go to family homes and eat dinner. It is really sweet. Also lots of people go back to Mainland where the festivities are HUGE!!! We had a normal week with lots of finding. The stores are still closed though. Most of the family owned ones are at least closed for 5 to 18 days of Chinese New Year! Everyone is just having a party…. for 18 days. We did a banner find with the Mandarin missionaries. I will send a picture. We stopped a German family and they were so cute. We also stopped a French couple. I tried to use my French but I couldn’t say much. Basically if they don’t speak Cantonese then my Mandarin comes out. If they don’t speak Mandarin then jibberish comes out. I could only say hello and tell them my name. I’ll work on it.

The Prosperity Burger at McD. It was good and will bring us luck!

The Prosperity Burger at McD. It was good and will bring us luck!

The Popo~  Our investigator, Leung Popo, is doing great. I think she is progressing again. We have really worked hard with her. She loves coming to church and talking with us. She is just always super happy and laughs a lot. In our last lesson she was saying some Chinese Poems and made our member cry laughing. She is always a great person to be around. We have concluded that she has quit drinking coffee and I have no doubt that angels are helping her because she never remembers to drink her coffee in the morning. I consider that a miracle. She is progressing to February 20th, 2016 baptismal date. She wants to get baptized and her main goal is to see and be with her parents and family forever. Sharing that piece of the gospel with her was a very happy moment. She is so cute. The only problem we have with her is sometimes on Sunday mornings she can’t leave the house because of two reasons 1)too cold outside. She is 95 so I understand. 2) Her children don’t let her outside the door. I am not quite sure how to help the second reason other than having a few members meet her granddaughter and son. We will keep thinking and praying. Our members love her so that is great.

I love serving in HK! It is so great and fun! I love being a missionary:) The Best thing I have ever done!!! Have a great week and Happy New Year!

#67b Temple & Chinese New Year Preparations

Week 67b3These last 4 days have been great. We have been able to teach more people and this week we met our goals. We met 9 of our goals in the key indicators. I was so happy! We just this last week started a covenant with the Lord to help our area. It was really hard to keep up with and we are exerting all the effort that we have. In just one week I can see the blessings! Woohoo! The Lord really does provide. He wants us to give all that we can up and work more more and more and then He will pour His blessings out on us. I have already seen it. Although we still only have 1 investigator and we dropped the other one this week we are finding more people to teach. Slowly but surely. After all the best things in life take time and patience….like chocolate chip cookies:)

Week 67b1On Saturday we did some service with the ward. We made some Chinese New Year fish out of Red Packets! Then went and visited some elderly members of the ward who have no way of attending church. It was awesome! We went with our Relief Society President. It was such a great time to get to know our members and serve together with them.

We were able to teach Leung Popo twice this week. We found our she drinks coffee every morning. It really surprised me. Most Hong Kong people drink tea but I never would of thought I would meet a 94 year old Popo who loves coffee. Well, her family doesn’t like that she drinks it and we committed her to quit. We will keep praying and working with her. We just need to make sure her desire is pure. But other than that she is great! Always laughing and super fun to teach:)

Week 67b4On Sunday our investigator Leung Popo didn’t come to church:( I am not sure what exactly happened. She just didn’t pick up the phone or answer the door but nonetheless the Lord provided someone at church named Floren who we were able to meet and reschedule. Apparently though, according to her record, Floren has schizophrenia and the ward had asked missionaries to not teach her. So we will see her once and probably won’t reschedule. It will be an interesting experience. Actually on my mission I have taught so many people with mental illnesses I have stopped counting.

We were able to meet with a less-active last night. She had promised that she would attend church with us but once again she didn’t show up. Vicky is a really interesting person. She is 35 but acts like she is 10. A lot of patience and faith in the Lord to help her return to full activity in the church. We will work with the ward to help her more.

I love you all and have a FANTASTIC WEEK!!

Love,  Sister Stromberg

PS: CHINESE NEW YEAR IS COMING!!!!!! DRUM ROLL PLEASE….

Week 67b7

#67a Popo is scared of cold water

These past 10 days have been great. We have been quite busy. Probably my favorite part of the 10 days was that we were able to invite our investigator Leung Popo to baptism on Feb 14. She accepted!!!! I have learned a lot of patience from her. She doesn’t remember anything we teach but she always says she feels good when she comes to church and she loves Jesus. I have heard from other missionaries who have taught the Elderly that you really have to be smart when teaching them. Teach with pictures and repeat things so that they can remember them. We have used the same picture of Jesus and baptism to help her remember. She is a really great woman and really funny. Her comments are always really funny. I don’t understand them sometimes and I just realized why, she is speaking in Chinese poetry and colloquial sayings!! My knowledge of that is like a grain of sand. It makes me laugh. She is progressing really well.

The Yeung Family. Our Bishop's twin brother.

The Yeung Family. Our Bishop’s twin brother.

She didn’t go to church because it was 2 degrees outside, which I understand. It is so cold here and some people’s bodies can’t take it so I am happy she stayed in. When we taught her on Tuesday she was wearing 8 shirts!!! 8! She counted them for us:) But she is doing great. The ward is helping her a lot more. We might need to change her baptismal date to a week later but we will keep you posted. She is a great woman and I love teaching her about Jesus Christ! Oh and when we talked about her baptismal date she was a little scared because she said the water will be too cold. She is so cute! We assured her it would be warm:)

On Sunday night we were able to  visit a less-active family. Basically the mother is less-active and the daughter. The 12 year old son comes to church and passes the sacrament. A really great family though. We invited them to invite a friend or school mate to come to the Chinese New Year activity. The daughter, Kitty, was really happy and willing to accept our challenge. I am really excited. We were also able to meet with our Relief Society President and a few other members to discuss what we can do to help them. They will come around. Prayer, diligence and faith on our part and the members will come first. Our ward is really great! West Point for LIFE!!

Channy and her cute kids from Burundi Africa

Channy and her cute kids from Burundi Africa

About a week ago I met a really great woman from Africa and we turned her over to the English Vic 1 Elders! So cute! They are from Burundi, Africa but were placed in a Rwanda refugee camp. Great down to earth famiy! I shared a picture for you:)

This past week my companion and I decided to make a covenant with the Lord. We had heard through the grape vine that the Sisters in Kwun Tong had this covenant thing and were ripening with success. We both want more success and baptisms. We decided to make a covenant with the Lord. It will be harder than I expected but will bring more blessings. We will work on it more this week and teach more lessons. Our goal is simple but will need a lot of work. I have faith that with our obedience and diligence to our covenant and the mission rules we will see success. After all the Lord never lets us down. His plan is always to help and bless us.

I am excited to go to the temple today. It will be really great! This next few days will bring more blessings!

#65 HK Hospitals & Exchanges

Week 65.4Don’t worry we aren’t dead. We’re okay.

My poor companion

My poor companion

We had a really interesting week. I would say the most interesting of it all was we basically spent 7 hours with doctors and hospitals yesterday for my poor companion. She has been sick the past couple of days and we went into the Hospital to get it checked. To shorten things up it is an infection of some kind. They gave her some antibiotics and she will be resting for a while this week. But here are somethings I learned over this weekend…. 1) Hong Kong Emergency rooms are really different than US, 2) Hong Kong has a lot of old people, 3) I failed at pronouncing the names of the medicines to President Lam on the phone. He laughed at me:), and 4) It is really convienent and really great to have a doctor on Speed dial aka President Lam. So no need to worry. We got it all figured out. Our members are great and one of them who is a doctor accompanied us to the hospital. They even brought Sister Curtis some Congee. It was soo good! I love our ward! It is so sweet how much they cared about us. I got multiple calls from them this week. But all is well.

As for the work….

Sis Yong goes home soon

Sis Yong goes home soon

This week was really interesting. We were able to see a lot of people this week and we had some great lessons. We met a couple of less-actives in the ward and they seem to be really interesting people. They give our ward leaders a head ache as it seems. They just seem not to have a real desire to change and the drive isn’t there for the committment that they made. I feel really bad for them but I will try my best to help them remember their testimony.

This week we had exchanges. I stayed in West Point and Sister Yost came to West Point with me. I am so happy. She is a great missionary and we get along really well. It was a great exchange. We learned a lot and laughed a lot on exchanges. She kind of reminds me of Hanna (Gold). They even laugh really similar. Anyways, I learned how to better help my less-active members and how to really put myself in their shoes. Sister Yost is a great missionary. She is great at talking to everyone.

We met with one of our less actives named Chan Suet Ping. She is really cute and I think she is 85 years old. We had a really great lesson with her and were able to help her so much. The best part of the lesson was that she really opened up to us at what is really bothering her and was able to let us know her situation more. I really want to help her. Apparently her son in Canada is really sick with a type of blood sickness. I think maybe Lukeimia. I am not quite sure. We were able to talk about faith and how prayer coupled with faith can bring miracles and bring her closer to the Lord.

Leong Popo

Leung Popo

We were able to teach our Popo this week too. She is so cute! 94 years old and still going strong. We taught her or rather re-taught her how to pray as she forgets a lot. She is really great and loves Jesus and the church. She came to church this week again and is really starting to develop friendships with the ward members. She has come to church 3 out of the 4 Sundays that we have been here. The ward is really starting to notice and now they are all taking turns sitting with her in church and talking to her. I love seeing her face light up from all of our members and how happy church makes her. She is a super cute and sassy Popo.

Doing great! The Lord’s work is still moving. Working on finding more investigators! I love being a missionary!

This was in a separate email:  Hey super happy story!

Do you remember when you gave me those missionary name tags? So I sent them to some Primary kids here in my last ward. KLC. The kids loved it and wore them all on Sunday. They were so happy! They even brought some friends (with parents) to church that sunday. They are taking families for the missionaries to teach! Miracles!

Anyways, some more kids went up to Sister Mendoza and asked for one. I have only a few left but I want to send them to CSW and my ward here now. Could you send me maybe 20 more. Even putting them in an envelope is fine. Success to the ward. I guess the kids were so happy! Thanks again mom for sending me them. If it is too much no worries. I am just super happy. The members here don’t have deseret book or things of that sort. They just have to be really creative. I feel like they saw it as gold. Also maybe some ctr rings too. like the cheap ones. Sis. Mendoza said it just spread like wildfire in Kowloon City! Thanks

#64 Update on the Island

Week 64.1

Xinyuan from Beijing.  We met her while finding on Central Pier.  Our conversation was half Mandarin and half English!

The Island.  Hong Kong island.  I love it!  I still have to pinch myself to remind me that I am serving on the Island but I love it. The people here are really different than in Kowloon but I love it! I would say probably the biggest difference would be that there are more foreigners than in Kowloon. I guess I could say I am not the only white person on the train now:) We had a pretty great week! Nothing too much crazy or out of the ordinary happened.

This week we have been able to bring our teaching pool up to about 4 investigators. We are so happy to be able to teach these people. It is so amazing to see how when we first came here there wasn’t much going on in the area investigator wise. Now we are teaching 4 people. What surprised me this week was that our progressing investigator is our 94 year old Popo. She is so cute and happy. She has already been to church 3 times and loves it. We are going to see her three times this week to keep contact and to really try to help her understand as simple as possible. As missionaries sometimes it is hard to teach simple but when you are teaching someone who remembers about as much as a 6 year old you have to teach simply. I am excited to learn from the Spirit when we teach Leung Popo. She is really funny. We hope to explain more about baptism this week.

Week 64.2

The Bishop & his family

This week we called a former investigator who has heard all the lessons. Her name is Sister Tse. We met up with her and she is really humble. She has had a really hard life and it seems to have taken her whole life under addictions and not knowing where to turn for peace and truth. When we met with her she cried a lot and really opened her heart to us. We explained to her that we both didn’t know her before so she can start fresh now. She can have a new start. She agreed to learn. We left her with a Living Christ and she committed to read it each day. I think she has the desire but lacks the self confidence.

We have been really trying to help our 14 year old investigator Sumi to apply the gospel in her life. She has been taught for probably 3 years and has her baptismal record signed. She says that she is just waiting for an answer to get baptized. We will continue to work with her.

This week I went to an eye doctor in TST named Doctor Sou. She said that my eye had an infection from the pollution. She gave me some antibiotics and I will see her next Wednesday to follow up. So there is no more need to worry but I am grateful for your prayers these past few months.

Week 64.3Sorry my letter isn’t super packed with info. It was a pretty low key week. This next week we are going to make a day out to the islands of our area. We are thinking of going to Peng Chau or Cheung Chau. We are going to look for some less-actives. The most exciting part is that they have pakmuhn (knocking door) places. I am super excited! I have never done it my entire mission:):) Super pumped!

I love you! Glad you had fun and are safe:)

#63 I can’t believe it is 2016 in The Hong Kong

Week 63.2

Atop Lion’s Rock

I love Hong Kong. I am so happy for you family. Don’t have too much fun in Texas or Belize without me:) I have got to say that Hong Kong is a party! A party of missionary work and changing lives. That is what we do and it is the best thing! I couldn’t ask for a better time and place to help people and bear testimony of Jesus Christ’s eternal power and atonement. My heart just keeps growing here. It is unstoppable….

So here is the break down of another incredible year in Hong Kong.

The Ding Ding - or Harry Potter Train

The Ding Ding – or Harry Potter Train

This week I was able to understand a little bit more of a typical Hong Kong Popo, what every person wants. I love them! They are so genuine and really know what matters most. Most people in Hong Kong are too busy to realize and understand the whole picture. It’s hard to help them realize it but the Popos, they are so innocent and are not busy. I love them. They don’t hold anything back. Let me tell you a bit about them. 1. They say what comes to mind. Have basically no filter. Straightforward people. 2. The exercise every day with really ridiculous exercises. The have variety. Oh I hope you got our email for us doing Tai Chi in the morning with Popos. 3. The are simple. Everything is simple. I especially love teaching the gospel to them simply. 4. They are so cute!

Family sending 3 kids to BYU

Family sending 3 kids to BYU

What brings all this up is that we are teaching a 94 (almost 95) year old Popo. She is so cute and hilarious. Her name is Leung Popo and she lives in the same building as us. Here are some things that I love about her that happened this week. 1. We exercised with her one morning and it was fun. She loves her exercise and is really healthy for being that old. She walks just about as fast as us. Her mind is super sharp and she loves life. She also makes jokes about dying all the time. She has quite the humor. 2. When we shared the First Vision we asked what she thought of the Joseph Smith video. She said, “Ngoh geng ge la!” ( I am scared!) All she could focus on was that the grass was too long where Joseph prayed and she was afraid that a snake would attack him. Ha. She is so cute! We may need to teach that again:) 3. In Relief Society Sister Curtis had a hard time staying awake. I understand though because when you don’t understand a language and you do missionary work you are tired. I understand. I was once there. Anyways, she was dozing and Leung Popo just laughed at her and shouted really loud that she was sleeping. It was hilarious to watch. She is great. I love Leung Popo. She has some really great friends here and I loved watching everyone react to her coming to church. Most of them were surprised she was that old. I may need to learn some tips from her:)

We have a couple of other new investigators, including a pair of twins named Shark and Ocean. Yes they are girls and they brought their bearded dragon and iguana to the lesson. It was quite a lesson:) I loved it though. You never get bored here. We are coming along with people to teach. For the best things in life you have to wait….like cookies:) Just kidding there are way more things than that. The gospel’s blessings to name only one.

I love them! Welcome 2016!

I love them! Welcome 2016!

Lastly was my realization that I came to Hong Kong in 2014! Feels like forever ago but so close at the same time. I lived all through 2015 and now get a few more times with these people in 2016. Time has flown by so fast. I feel like I just got here. This past Monday we went and hiked Lion’s rock. I hiked it almost a year ago to the day. It is such amazing to see the difference. Not only has the city changed but also I have changed. The gospel and service really do change people. It is the greatest gift anyone could ever receive. I had a few moments this week when I looked back at where I was a year ago and I am so immensely grateful for serving the Lord. As missionaries you always want to help other and give as much as you can because you can see people’s potential. You can see them in a sense the way that their Heavenly Father sees them. It’s Glorious. But when you really take a look you just see how much the Lord has blessed you. I could never repay Him but I can love and serve Him forever.

I love my mission and I love the Lord. There really isn’t much more to say. So. Peace out and I will talk to you next week:)
